Arriving by Public Transport
Get off at the main station Mainz-Hauptbahnhof.
Leave the station and take a tram or bus at the station right in fron of the building.
The following lines serve the university from the main station tot he nearest stop Friedrich-von-Pfeiffer-Weg:
Tram Lines:
51 (direction to Lerchenberg);
53 (direction to Lerchenberg);
59 (direction to Hochschule Mainz);
Buses:
54 (direction to Klein-Winternheim);
55 (direction to Finthen);
56 (direction to Finthen/Wackernheim);
75 (direction to Schwabenheim/Ingelheim);
650 (direction to Sprendlingen);
If you arrive by tram, you are already on the right side of the street.
If you arrive by bus, cross the pedestrian bridge right behind the station.
Take a left after crossing the street "Wittichweg" Follow this street in direction of the Philosophicum.
You will reach the Western entrance following the path alongside the small parking area.
Tickets
RMV public transport tickets (S-Bahn, RB and RE) are also valid on the buses. If you do not have a public transport ticket, you can buy a short-distance ticket for the trip from the main station to the university on the bus.
Arriving by Car
Follow the instructions to find your way to the campus.
Once on campus, find the Philosophicum with the help of the campus map.
